Introduction of TPU

TPU (Thermoplastic Urethane), as a common category of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), its performance is between rubber and plastic, with high elasticity and strength, and the products are widely used in shoe industry manufacturing, electronics, sports, etc. As shown in Fig. 1, FDM technology was successfully applied to 3D printed non-pneumatic tires based on TPU material.

Products

TPU materials have high flexibility, mechanical strength and elasticity, bringing flexible production to the 3D printing industry. CD BioSciences is a professional 3D printing service company, providing TPU materials for 3D printing, suitable for FDM, SLS and other 3D printing technologies.

TPE was the first choice when printing flexible 3D printing materials a few years ago. However, the strong softness of TPE materials makes them difficult to use widely. 3D printing TPU materials are the upgrade of TPE, which can customize the performance of the materials by controlling the proportion and structural topography of low polarity (or soft) and high polarity (or hard) chain segments, better combining elasticity, rigidity and flexibility. The products printed with TPU materials have superior wear resistance and grease resistance, impact resistance and shock absorption performance, can be bent and deformed at will, and the shrinkage rate is low during the production process. In recent years, TPU materials have played an increasingly important role in many fields, such as sealing, and parts that require elastomers like rubber, especially in the wide application of replacing traditional thermosetting elastomers.

CD BioSciences's high-quality TPU materials have excellent physical, chemical and thermal properties and have passed standard certification.
